Declaration of Independence & U.S. Constitution

This fall, all ENG 100 and ENG 200 students will be required to take final written exams based on the Declaration of Independence & U.S. Constitution, respectively. ENG 100 faculty are being told to encourage their students to read the Declaration before the exam. They are also being given the option to “require students to retrieve their own copy of the documents and build an assignment around the retrieval process if they wish.” I don’t know yet the exact nature of the ENG 200 assignment on the Constitution.
In my opinion, the best online source for both documents is at the National Archives Charters of Freedom page:

http://archives.gov/exhibits/charters/

Just wanted to give you the heads up that we may have a lot of students asking about these documents at the ref desk and suggest a link to point students to.

"Free" Fax

If students need to fax a document (2-3 pages), there are websites that will fax for free. See faxzero.com or just Google "Free Fax." There are a variety of free fax websites. What's the catch? They will insert one sheet of advertising. If the University Bookstore is closed, this is another way they can send a fax.
